Flat caps were commonly worn in the 1940’s by Men and young boys. During this time WW2 had broken out and many children set off to the countryside in hopes of freedom and peace from the city wars!
Flat caps have been around for a while even going far back as the Victorian times where boys would go to school dressed in a waistcoat or jumper and complete with a flat cap!
This flat cap would work perfectly for an evacuee day at school or a WW2 themed school trip or potentially even to finish off a peaky blinders costume!
The cap is made from a woven material and has a black and brown grid pattern.
