Disney Accessories

Disney is a worldwide company which has produced many adored films, TV shows and characters over the years. It was founded back in 1923 by the Disney Brothers with its first films including Alice in Wonderland and Little Red Riding Hood. Disney's first original character was the beloved Mickey Mouse who has been around since 1928 and has starred in many different Disney films and TV shows. As the years progressed Disney produced many more films, TV shows and characters including Snow White and the 7 Dwarves, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Robin Hood, 101 Dalmatians', Toy Story, Tangled and Frozen to name just a few!

When Disney was first founded they based their films and TV shows using the work of others, Alice and Wonderland was originally a book written by Lewis Carroll in 1865 but in 1923 Disney adapted the book and turned it into a short film. Similarly Little Red Riding Hood was a book by the Grimm Brothers then Disney adapted the book into another short film. Even some of the more well known Disney films were based on the work of others, these included Rapunzel, Cinderella and Snow White, these 3 well loved films where originally created by the Grimm Brothers before being adapted by Disney. Other favourites such as the Little Mermaid and Thumbelina were originally created by Hans Christian Anderson before again being adapted by Disney. Even the ever popular film Frozen by Disney was based on The Snow Queen fairytale by Hans Christian Anderson. As well as adapting fairytales Disney did come up with originals such as the Mickey Mouse series and films.

Many people focus on the animated side of Disney such as the cartoons and the animated films but there was a whole other side to Disney that included live action. Live action films that Disney produced included Pirates of the Caribbean, The Princess Diaries, High School Musical, The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday. Disney even created some films that included both live action and animation. These included Mary Poppins, The Muppets, Enchanted, Hocus Pocus and Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
